The XXII AISSEC Conference will be held at the Department of Economic Studies (G. DAnnunzio University of Chieti-Pescara), on 16-18th June, 2022. The Conference is organized in partnership with the Turin Centre on Emerging Economies (OEET). The Conference pursues the mission of the Association, which is the comparison of economic systems. It is meant to gather scholars working in different areas with an aim to exchange ideas on topics related to economic development. The main focus of the XXII edition will be on the drivers of economic development, under a comparative perspective. Both theoretical and empirical contributions are welcomed on issues dealing with (but not limited to):

The working language of the conference is English. Paper Submission Extended abstracts (max. 500 words) should be submitted, by Submissions will undergo a regular peer review process Young researchers and Ph.D. students are encouraged to apply and will be able to benefit from special fees.
Registration fee will cover the conference kit and coffee breaks, social dinner will be paid apart. The abstract submission deadline is Social activities On 17th June, at the end of the second day of the conference, participants are invited to the social dinner. Those who plan to stay in Pescara over the weekend can participate to a joint tour around the Trabocchi Coast, after the conference closure on 18th June. Information support will be given to those willing to visit on Sunday the mountain areas (Majella National Park), within one-hour drive from Pescara.
